A Fifth-Generation Family Ranch
Loup River Beef is a fifth-generation family farm and ranch located in Ainsworth, NE
Our naturally-raised Black Angus beef is born and backgrounded on our ranch in the beautiful Nebraska Sandhills.
We are a small family farm and ranch that raises Artisan Black Angus cattle that are grass-raised grain-finished. We are a no-source operation, meaning we are a part of every aspect of our animal's lives. Our cattle are born, raised, finished, processed, and marketed to our local communities and surrounding areas.
OUR PRACTICES
We are not the biggest ranch, but we do want to be the best. Our land is part of our heritage that we leave for generations to come. We want the land to be better than when we found it. We implement a variety of practices that ensure we are good land stewards.
Rotational Grazing
We rotate our cattle across different pastures to maintain healthy grasslands and prevent overgrazing.
No-Till Farming
We practice no-till farming methods to preserve soil structure and reduce erosion.
Biodiversity
We actively manage and promote biodiversity on our land to support a healthy ecosystem.
Pest Management
We use natural and sustainable methods to manage pests while protecting our environment.
